Here and Now s'est fait connaître grâce à Daevid Allen. En effet, C'est sous le nom de Planet Gong qu'ils ont sillonés la France et l'Angleterre en 1977-1978, pour une série de concerts gratuits ( " Floating Anarchy Tour ") où Daevid Allen divulguait ses idéés anarchistes sur cette musique space-pseudo-punk ! Seule une quête lors des représentations permettait de faire vivre le groupe. Enfin, un disque de Planet Gong est sorti (cf; Gong), lui-même vendu pour une bouchée de pain... Ah, quelle époque !!
